The Giants have been a great baseball team for a long time. On the other hand, they have never had the biggest following. In 2010 the giants had a great season. They made it into the World Series for the first time in about 30 years and they ended up winning the series. Going into the World Series, Giants fans started to emerge from out of nowhere. These types of fans are called bandwagon fans because they dont follow a particular team but when a team close to them starts doing well, the person starts to call themselves a fan of that particular team. They dont know a lot about that team but they begin to call themselves a fan. I chose this topic because I thought it would be intersting to see if their would be a spike in the Giants research popularity in the times of them being in the World Series therefor telling me that the Giants are a bandwagon team.
